A Peace Pilgrim’s Song, “Fountain of Love”

Saturday, July 18th, 2009

Fountain of Love
My source is in thee –
Loving thy will
My spirit is free
Beautiful day
When all of us see
The hope of the world
is Love!

Today we are celebrating what would have been Peace Pilgrim’s 101st. Birthday in the town where she was born, Egg Harbor, New Jersey, USA. I am joyful to share with you her beautiful song on her special day.

The National Peace Academy

Saturday, July 4th, 2009

I’d like to share an item of interest that has come to my attention: The National Peace Academy in the United States. This group works with a definition of peace that is consistent with our underlying beliefs. Their mission statement is a positive call to action “… to support, advance and nurture cultures of peace by conducting research and facilitating learning toward the development of peace systems – local to global – and the full spectrum of the peacebuilder – inner and outer, personal and professional.”

Seeds of Peace

Sunday, May 10th, 2009

Perhaps you have experienced through the course of life a yearning to deeply explore the meaning of inner peace and I relate very much with such a quest of the soul. My first memories of such need to explore the wonders if inner peace come from the time when I was 9 years old. Many years latter, my life was transformed when I first encountered Peace Pilgrim, a lady who walked a pilgrimage for 28 years, mostly in the United States, with a message of peace. (more…)

Appreciating Peace Pilgrim

Monday, March 30th, 2009

Peace Pilgrim became an inspiration in my life from the very first time I had the privilege to hear about her work 18 years ago during a video presentation in my hometown, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, in a time when I was reflecting about my own spiritual Path and actions for the future. Her dramatization of the way of Peace has transforming power and she continues to influence my own work for peace in expanding ways. (more…)

Living in Each Other

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009

Today I wish to share with you a thought about an element of my philosophy of life and core values. I believe an important spiritual principle is rooted in the simple psychological fact that we live in each other whenever we outreach in our interactions with other people. So my point here is that my commitment is to respect each person’s personality and in that mood, to make a constructive contribution in all details to life. We are social beings and sharing in peace is at the core of all I do.

Conscious existence is in community living.

Learning from Each Other

Thursday, December 25th, 2008

One of my professional activities includes counseling people when asked. Through my work for Peace, people come from all paths of life in search of interactions about peaceful living. A person I have been counseling for years, a prisoner, shared with me this thought from the depths of his being:

“God awaits me in the quiet sanctuary of my soul”. (more…)

Peace and Progress

Monday, December 15th, 2008

One of the persons I admire the most is Marc Edmund Jones, founder of the Sabian Assembly. He spoke extensively about the way of peace, and his philosophical approach to life has influenced mine in ways beyond description. I would like to share with you what he once said about peace in the world and within people. (more…)

Becoming a Shining Light

Monday, October 20th, 2008

A few years ago during a visit to the Peace Pilgrim Center we would gather together each day with joy to share delicious vegetarian meals and started by lighting a candle in the center of the table and taking some moments of silence in meditation. (more…)
