Morning Silence
A friend from San Francisco, California, USA wrote, “I recently returned to the frenetic world of haste and schedules, but they are part of life. I’ve found it difficult to return to my studies. . . I always try to remain alert, to enjoy each day and see even the smallest things that happen around me!”
She was asking for additional reflections, so I mentioned:
Dear friend, what a joy to know you are maintaining a great level of alertness. I invite you to also consider the potential to accomplish a state of deeper inner peace by paying constant attention to your inner voice and this process is facilitated through a dedication of at least a few minutes of our daily routine to keep centered, regain balance, and prepare for the day ahead, while experiencing a morning silence. A daily routine of at least 5 minutes of meditation can bear great fruits. It can be conducive to expand our perspective of the circumstances in which we find ourselves and also increase the probabilities of generating fresh ideas to improve the quality of life for ourselves and the ones we love. It is through this personal time that we can remember who we truly are and as a result manifest our broadest potential and bring it in service to others.
